2015 Netgalley & Edelweiss Reading Challenge Sign-Ups!

Welcome to the second annual Netgalley and Edelweiss Reading Challenge!

Have you ever logged on to Edelweiss or Netgalley with the intention of "Just Looking" and then logged off having requested 5 new titles even though your TBR is a mile long? This challenge will (hopefully) give you the incentive to tackle your review books, stumble upon new ones, and get your Netgalley percentage to the desired 80%!
Challenge Guidelines
  • The challenge will run from Jan 1, 2015 – Dec 31, 2015.
  • Anyone is welcome to join. You do not need to be a blogger, just post your reviews and come back every month to link them up.
  • Any genre, release date, request date, length, etc. counts so long as it came from Edelweiss or Netgalley.
  • At the beginning of each month there will be a roundup post for you to add your reviews.
  • If you forget to link up one month it's not a problem just add your reviews next month.
  • If you would like to move up or down levels that is completely fine and at your discretion.
  • If you have any questions tweet me @FallingForYA or e-mail Emisbookblog@aol.com!

  1. Hi there Emiy!
Excited to participate this year! I read a ton of Ebooks so this suits me perfectly ( plus who doesn't want to be at 80%?) here is my blog URL.

  2. I need to do this. I still have a few NetGalley titles to read, and I've got 19 EW requests in.

  4. I'll make a sign up post later tonight, but I definitely need this. I have *mumbles number* of NetGalley books, and quite a few Edelweiss ones as well. I can't help it, I'm a book addict.

  5. I'm definitely signing up again! I chose the Gold level for 2014, and I completed it! This helped immensely for me to keep reviewing the NG and EW books, so I just wanted to say thank you for hosting! I'm looking forward to trying to beat my total from this year. :)

  11. I have been debating for a while whether I should join in this year or not, but I think I will pass. I am going to be focusing more so on review requests I have received by email and my personal TBR list this year :)

  14. Cool! I'm going to try to do Bronze or preferably Silver. I only just discovered Eidelweiss and NetGalley but I have been reviewing books from indie authors and certain publishers for a while now. What does the "desired 80%" on Net Galley mean?
    Thank you!

    1. Good luck on making Silver! The desired 80% is your recommended feedback to approval ratio. If you go to your profile it is just above your bio information =)

    1. Best of luck!! My ratio is like 68% right now. I would love to hit 90 but I don't think it will ever happen lol

  16. I'm going for Silver... I don't have too many left, but I'm only at 52%.

Where do we leave links to our reviews? I just finished one.

  17. Hi Emily! I just wanted to let you know that I have changed my blog name, so I relinked up with my new link to my blog. Sorry for the confusion. My old blog is link #60 (Her Reviews of Books....) And my new one is #93 (My Bookish Itinerary).

  18. This looks like such a great challenge. My current NetGalley review ratio is a measly 14%, so I can't possibly get much worse than I am now. I am signing up for the Bronze level to begin with.

  19. Hello there!
I read lots of books from Netgalley, so I would love to participate in this challenge. Can I still join?

Note: No idea why but when I try to post my url it says it contains invalid characters... My blog is http://anaslair.wordpress.com

  20. Oi, now I get what was wrong, I tried to post the entire url of my blog and it only asks my username :)

So, can I still join? I have posted my reviews in each month's topic and you can find them all here: https://anaslair.wordpress.com/2015/06/03/2015-netgalley-edelweiss-reading-challenge-jan-may/

    Thank you!
