Immediately after finished The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer I bought this because I HAD to have it. It has been on my shelf since release day.
2 Chasing the Skip by Janci Patterson
I became semi-obsessed with getting this book and the instant it was on my shelf I kind of forgot it was there...I still really want to read it though!
3 White Lines by Jennifer Banash
I tend to really enjoy books with drug use/issues so I HAD to have this one.

I saw some really fabulous reviews for this on Goodreads and bought it on Amazon on a whim.
5 Hallowed by Cynthia Hand
I started to read this book and just wasn't feeling it so I decided to give it a couple weeks since I really liked Unearthly. Weeks have turned in to a really long time...It don't think I will be getting to Hallowed any time soon either. My cat just passed away and his name was Tucker, so I'm not sure I can bring myself to read this just yet.

This was a pure case of cover lust. I still need to find out if the pages inside match the pretty outside.
7 Gameboard of the Gods by Richelle Mead
I love Richelle and I couldn't wait to start her new series. Only, apparently I could wait since it's still on the shelf.
8 Lola and the Boy Next Door by Stephanie Perkins
I finished Anna and the French Kiss in a day, bought Lola at Barnes & Noble the next and have been putting off reading it ever since. Clearly something is wrong with me.

I can't even remember the reason I got so obsessed with owning this book. I can't remember the synopsis, or anything about it to be honest. Just that two summers ago I HAD to have it. I really should read it already.
10 Acid by Emma Pass
I had to trade for this since it isn't out in the US yet. It's been on my shelf for almost a year now with the US release date coming up I have a renewed reason to read Acid. As if the badass girl on the cover wasn't reason enough!
WHY HAVEN'T YOU READ LOLA AND THE BOY NEXT DOOR? And you may as well wait to read EVOLUTION. Who knows when RETRIBUTION will be published.

I've been interested in ACID for the longest time and almost bought it a few times but never have as of yet, I might consider it more if I hear you enjoy it. I also haven't read Lola and the Boy Next Door, I don't know why, I enjoyed Anna but I just haven't bought Lola yet, I'm sorry to hear about you cat too Emily, I hope you're okay :) *hugs*
ReplyDeleteThank you! Losing Tuck has been hard, especially because it was very sudden, but I'm starting to get to the place where I can think about and be grateful for the 3 years I got to have with him.
DeleteMara Dyer! I just finished this the other day and immediately bought the second one haha. Unlike you though I plan to read it asap because NOAH.
ReplyDeleteI mean, really dude, how are you passing up a chance for more Noah? *Shakes head in disappointment* ;)
I did this topic too! I think we all have books like this. I definitely think you should read Lola soon ! Wait for Mara Dyer until Retribution comes out because the ending for Evolution is crazy and we've all been waiting forever for the last one! I bought Born Wicked and have yet to read it as well. I really need to make time to read books I bought in the past.
ReplyDeleteGreat minds! I think this is a really fun topic =) Good idea about waiting until Retribution comes out...I do hate cliffhangers.
DeleteI'm totally the same with Evolution of Mara Dyer. I had to have it...I haven't read it yet either
ReplyDeleteFunnily enough I have the first Mara Dyer sat on my TBR and Lola and the French Kiss! Ooops. It's bad though isn't it? I wish I could keep on top of my piles of books but it just doesn't happen!
ReplyDeleteMy TTT :)
Oh my, I'm glad I'm not the only one who does this!! Born Wicked is one I'm guilty of, too...along with Tiger Lily, Gilt, Alice in Zombieland,...geez, there are so many more. I guess I'm as much of a book collector as I am a book reader! :)
ReplyDeleteI haven't read any of these either and there are some good ones!

Honestly Hallowed is not worth the read. For some reason I decided to waste $12 and 10 hours of my time on that book - don't ask me why, I couldn't tell you. I wasn't thinking straight. But I REALLY want to read The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer - the first book was so good!

I've got out Anna and the French Kiss right now! (I still have to start it, though...finishing Throne of Glass up..yup, I'm pretty diverse in my reading XD). I want to read ACID so bad!!!! My TTT!
ReplyDeleteBorn Wicked was awesome and one of my best reads last year, so I definitely recommend that one!
ReplyDeleteMy TTT ^^
Great pick! YAY! I am just really happy that I am not the only one who owns a ton of books that they haven't read yet. I actually haven't read any of the ones you mentioned, but quite a few are ones I really want to read. Nice list :) My TTT.
ReplyDeletehaha omg YES! I do this all the time, just HAVE to get a book...then it ends up just sitting on my shelf forever!!! Acid is one I have had sitting on my shelf for awhile now...even though I got it when it first came out in the UK like a year or more ago! Great post hun!! ((:
ReplyDeleteI like reading this.
