Author: Erin Fletcher
Publisher: Entangled Teen
Publication Date: January 7, 2014
Synopsis:
When Hanley Helton discovers a boy living in her garage, she knows she should kick him out. But Nate is too charming to be dangerous. He just needs a place to get away, which Hanley understands. Her own escape methods—vodka, black hair dye, and pretending the past didn't happen—are more traditional, but who is she to judge?
Nate doesn't tell her why he's in her garage, and she doesn't tell him what she's running from. Soon, Hanley¹s trading her late-night escapades for all-night conversations and stolen kisses. But when Nate¹s recognized as the missing teen from the news, Hanley isn't sure which is worse: that she's harboring a fugitive, or that she's in love with one.
Author Interview
How did you get the idea for Where You'll Find Me?
It started when I walked into a pitch-black garage and sneezed. I thought about how weird it would be if someone said, “Bless you.” And how much weirder it would be if that person turned out to be living in the garage. Hanley became the girl who sneezed, and Nate became Garage Boy. Then I had to figure out where Hanley was going and why Nate was in her garage!
Who was your favorite character to write in Where You'll Find Me?
My favorite character to write was probably Nate. He’s cute, charming, and mysterious. I loved discovering his secrets along with Hanley.
What does your writing space look like or consist of ?
Since I don’t have an office, my writing space is my couch. Things that are always within reach: my computer, at least 2 blankets, fingerless gloves, my Bluetooth speaker, a coffee mug, and my cat.
If Where You'll Find Me had a theme song what would it be?
“Anywhere but Here” by Mayday Parade. I especially love these lines: “You’re all I’ve got right now // No one else figures out this feeling // And how lonely it can get”
Since you are a debut author, do you have any debut's you are looking forward to in 2014?Yes! I am super excited for Kat Ellis’s BLACKFIN SKY. I was lucky enough to read an early draft, and it’s got everything – an intriguing premise, mystery, and absolutely beautiful writing. I am so excited to read the finished product! I’m also looking forward to BETWEEN by Megan Whitmer, BEHIND THE SCENES by Dahlia Adler, and NIL by Lynne Matson.
Erin Fletcher is a morning person who does most of her writing before sunrise while drinking excessive quantities of coffee, believes flip-flops qualify as year-round footwear, and would spend every day at the beach if she could. She has a bachelor’s degree in mathematics (which is almost never useful when writing books) and lives in North Carolina.

ReplyDeleteSounds like an interesting story. Love the interview and blurb. Thanks for the giveaway.
ReplyDeleteIf I sneezied in a dark garage & someone said "bless you" I'd require medical attention because I'd probably have a heart attack. Lol
ReplyDeleteLove the synopsis of this book, though. The necklace is really pretty, BTW.
Thanks for the guveaway!
