Around The World: Lettie @ Above Average Below Special

Welcome to Around The World! On Friday I feature a Blogger, Author or Publisher and ask questions about the country or state they are from and what it is like to be a member of the book world there! If you are interested in being featured please sign up here.

This week on the blog I have Lettie from Above Average Below Special!

Interview:
Where are you from?
 South West England!
What is the best and worst thing about living in the England?
Hmmmm I love so much about being from Great Britain that it’s hard to narrow it down! I think the best things are the fashion, the history and the Royal family.

The worst thing is how everyone assumes London is the only place in the UK

What is the biggest challenge of being a book blogger there?
It’s hard to participate in some blogger twitter events due to timezones!

Are you able to go to book signings, launches, or industry events?
I have been invited to an industry event but unfortunately, I had work!

Most events take place in London but my area does get a lot of signings!

Are Publishers willing to work with you were you live?
Yes, luckily Great Britain is very accessible!

Do you have any favourite books set in the country you are from or written by authors who are from the country you are from?
I have so many! My recent favourites are Earth Girl by Janet Edwards and anything by Sophie Kinsella!

A Few Of My Favorite Things Section:

Favorite Book (overall): Such hard question! A lot of my favourites are by the same author or a series like Diana Wynne Jones or Harry Potter”

Favorite Book Recent Release: Earth Girl by Janet Edwards and Façade by Nyrae Dawn

Author: Diana Wynne Jones.
I also LOVE Diana Wynne Jones! Her books where some of my favorites growing up =)
Social Media: Facebook.

International Food: Patatas Bravas

  1. Now I really am curious about Earth Girl. I haven't heard much about it, but I always pick it up and put it back down in the book store. Also, my favorite part about England: the chocolate. Yum! P.S. I'm American by the way ;) I feel like I should end this with #RoyalBaby or something. :D Love Kate Middleton!
