Top 10 Tuesday: Books When You Need Something Light & Fun

When You Need Something Light & Fun
I just finished my finals last week and so I was super excited for this topic! I wanted to share my favorite light, summery, beachy reads and hopefully the weather starts cooperating so that it will actually feel like I am doing some summer reading!

1 Meant To Be by Lauren Morrill
2 How My Summer Went Up In Flames by Jennifer Doktorski
3 The Boys of Summer by CJ Duggan

4 What A Boy Wants by Nyrae Dawn
5 Glamorous Illusions by Lisa T. Bergren
6 Keeping The Moon by Sarah Dessen

When putting this list together I was only able to come up with only 6 books. Looking through my read lists on Goodreads I found that I read mostly darker YA fiction. I will definitely have to change that situation this summer! If you can think of any recommendations make sure to leave them in the comments.

  1. I've been itching to read How My Summer Went Up in Flames! A lot of bloggers seem to have a hard time with this TTT list and I don't think we even end up realizing we read mostly darker books. :P

I think a recommendation from me would be All-American Girl by Meg Cabot. :)

  2. Sarah Dessen's books would definitely be on my list, too!

  3. I found this topic quite difficult too...most of the books I read I don't consider light and fun, haha. I really want to read Meant to Be, it seems like it fits the bill with this week's topic.

  7. I could only come up with 6, too. I guess I'm just not that into these types of books. Not that I don't love them when I'm in the mood -- I guess I'm just not up for them very often.

    Happy TTT!
