Stacking The Shelves 41

My local thrift store was having a 70% off sale on all of their books so I bought quite a few new books that I'm excited to read! I also got even more great books through ARCycling, Blog Tours, and as presents. All in all it has been a very exciting week what with all my new books and with school starting back up!

Bought:
Airhead, Being Nikki, and Runaway by Meg Cabot (I have sort of a thing for Meg Cabot so even though this isn't my usual kind of book I'm excited to start this series! Plus 3 hardbacks for less then 3 bucks, can't beat that!)

Secrets of my Hollywood Life by Jen Calonita
Burning Bright by Tracy Chevalier

Snow Flower and the Secret Fan by Lisa See
A Game of Thrones by George R. Martin

Present/For Review:
Cinder by Marissa Meyer (This was a Christmas present from my sister Bethany!)
Hold Me Closer, Necromancer by Lish McBride

I ordered Hold Me Closer, Necromancer on Amazon because it was such an amazing deal, like 4 dollars for a hardback and when it came I was surprised to find out that it was a signed copy!

The Holder's Dominion by Genese Davis (Blog Tour in February)
The False Prince by Jennifer Nielsen (My first ARCycling book!)
Uglies by Scott Westerfeld (My friend Kristin was appalled to find that I had never read this series so she let me borrow the first book to see how I like it)

  1. Wow, a 70% off sale, and you got 3 hardbacks for less than 3 bucks?! That IS awesome! I wish my local Half Price Books would do that, haha. Anyways, I'm interested to see what you think of Hold Me Closer, Necromancer. It seems different, but I'm unsure if I should pick it up or not. And that's so cool that it's signed!! :D Also, I have a copy of Uglies sitting on my shelf (and it's even SIGNED), just collecting dust. I'm going to have to pick it up sometime soon!

Lovely haul! I hope you enjoy all your lovelies. <3

  2. Wow, you grabbed some awesome bargains. I haven't read any of Meg Cabot, they look interesting. I have Cinder to read, hopefully soon. Happy reading.

  3. Wow. Bargain book shopping is my favorite. But it is a double edged sword for me, because if it is marked way down I think I have to buy.

And your friend is right, you need to read Uglies. I enjoyed the first one, but the second book is what made me the real advocate for the series. Haha...at least so far, I need to read the third one. And you can't go wrong with Meg Cabot.

    Nice haul and happy reading!
