1 Untold by Sarah Rees Brennan
Expected Publication: August 29, 2013
Unspoken is one of my favorite books of 2012 and so I am freakishly excited for Untold. I can not wait to find out what happens to Kami and Jared and of course to see Rusty again!

2 Between The Devil and the Deep Blue Sea by April Genevive Tucholke
Expected Publication: August 20, 2013
I am a total sucker for bad boys that are slightly evil, maybe a little bit crazy (see my personal life for confirmation) so this book is right up my alley and I don't know how I'm going to wait until August!
3 Sever by Lauren DeStefano
Expected Publication: February 12, 2013
I really enjoyed Wither and I thought Fever was even better! I can not wait to see how this series ends and what Lauren has in store for Rhine, Gabriel, & Linden! (*Side Note: This is by far my least favorite cover for this series. What were they thinking with green?)

4 The Collector by Victoria Scott
Expected Publication: April 2, 2013
I feel like The Collector has been all over the blogosphere and I am excited to finally see who this Dante Walker is and what he is all about! I will definitely be pre-ordering a copy of this one!

Expected Publication: June 25, 2013
This novel combines some of my favorite things, Japan, YA, and Gods. I can't wait to see how the author handles the different cultural customs and Japanese High School. If done correctly this sound be one of my favorite novels of 2013!
6 Clockwork Princess by Cassandra Clare
Expected Publication: March 19, 2013
I think everyone is biting this nails waiting for this novel. I absolutely love this series (so much more then The Mortal Instruments) and just want a happy ending for Jem, Will & Tessa but especially for Jem!

Despite really hating the cover change (the other covers were way better lookling) I am super excited for the conclusion of this awesome series. I want to see what exactly is on this new Earth and how it will change the crew.
8 If He Had Been With Me by Laura Nowlin
Expected Publication: April 1, 2013 (This better not be an April Fools joke!)
This novel sounds like it will be an emotional ride and a total tear jerker which I usually don't go for, but I really like the idea of this novel. The history of a girl and her best friend leading up to his car crash in which the front seat was occupied by another girl. Queue tears.
9 Siege and Storm by Leigh Bardugo
Expected Publication: June 4, 2013
Shadow and Bone was probably my favorite high fantasy book of the year. I love all of the characters Alina, Mal, and especially the Darkling! Hopefully the sequel will be just as surprising and gripping as the first book.
10 Born of Illusion by Teri Brown
Expected Publication: June 11, 2013
I love the 1920's era and to combine that with magic, mystery, and illusion sounds like it is going to be a great novel! If it is anything like the movies The Illusionist and The Prestige I'm going to love it!
Great list! I've heard of a few of them, but not all.

I'm totally with you on excitement for Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea, Sever and Shades of Earth. I'm not thrilled by the Sever cover either, though it looks like the UK one may be blue.

ReplyDeleteWhat a great list of titles. :) I am super excited for Sever, Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea, and Siege and Storm!
ReplyDeleteInk looks beautiful! And I really need to read Unspoken already!
ReplyDeletep.s You've been added to our blogroll!
So many amazing books! I didn't realise Unspoken has a sequel {squee} I loved it..
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing :)
We have a lot of similar books that we're looking forward to! I didn't know Untold already had a release date. But it's in August! ='( And that snippet that we got from Unspoken was so depressing... I know the author is going to totally toy with us in the sequel. I also can't wait for Siege and Storm! Shadow & Bone was totally in my top 5 of this year, and I can't wait to see what's going to happen next. Also, I actually like Sever's cover, aside from the green. The girl's look is really pretty and hopeful, and I much prefer it over the over-makeuped girls on the covers of the previous two books.
ReplyDeleteFantastic list! I hope all of these books turn out to be amazing. =)
I'm definitely looking forward to Siege and Storm since I LOVED the first book.
ReplyDeleteGreat picks!
